Hosted by horse racing personality and analyst Andy Serling, At The Post Live continues its sixth season at the Parting Glass Pub in Saratoga Springs! Catch up with Andy and his all-star cast of experts every week for the summer’s racing news and highlights.
On Saturday, Andy is joined by jockey Irad Ortiz and trainers Graham Motion and Robertino Diodoro!
Irad Ortiz
Since his beginnings riding at Hipodromo Camarero in Puerto Rico, Irad Ortiz has found enormous success in the American racing circuit. Since 2011, Ortiz has gained recognition as Saratoga’s leading rider for Grade 1 with three wins: the Coaching Club American Oaks and Alabama Stakes with Questing, and the Alfred G. Vanderbilt Handicap with Poseidon’s Warrior. Among his other victories are three Breeders’ Cups and NYRA riding titles in 2014 and 2015.
Graham Motion
Along with Ortiz, Graham Motion is no stranger to Breeders’ Cup wins! Motion gained victory in the 2004 Turf with Better Talk Now, the 2010 Filly and Mare Turf with Shared Account, and the 2014 Turf with Main Sequence. His more notable thoroughbreds include Aruna, Shared Interest, Film Maker, and Animal Kingdom, who went on to win the 2011 Kentucky Derby and 2013 Dubai World Cup.
Robertino Diodoro
Accumulating more than $1.7 million in earnings, two training titles, and 195 wins, Robertino Diodoro is a third generation trainer in his family. In 2016, Diodoro nationally ranked 4th in wins and 20th in earnings. This will be his first appearance on At The Post Live, and his first year as a regular on the NYRA circuit.
