Did you know the Adirondack region has hosted the Olympics not once, but twice? It’s true: the city of Lake Placid was home to both the 1932 and 1980 Winter Games! Come to the Berkshire Bank Saratoga Pavilion from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. for plenty of interesting Adirondack tidbits, from its rich culture and history to its modern attractions.
Learn about Adirondack living with hands-on activities like log stamping, weaving and balsam-bag making! And don’t miss the Adirondack Wildlife Refuge and Rehabilitation Center as they introduce real animals native to the mountains.
See what the Adirondacks have to offer! Organizations represented at the Pavilion are to include the Adirondack Experience, The Museum on Blue Mountain Lake; Fort Ticonderoga; The Wild Center and the William H. Miner Agricultural Research Institute.
Hungry? Sample fresh and local food from North Country Creamery and Hidden Hollow Maple Farm. In addition, try beverages from regional breweries and wineries like Adirondack Brewery, Adirondack Winery, Amazing Grace Vineyard and Winery, Big Tupper Brewing, Lake Placid Brewery and Oval Craft Brewing! While chowing down, enjoy music from Adirondack musician Jason Irwin. There’s something for everyone this Wednesday at the Track.
