This October, go behind-the-scenes at the largest thoroughbred adoption program in New York: ReRun Farm! Read on to find out how you can participate in the final farm tour of 2018, hosted by the National Museum of Racing and Hall of Fame.
About the Tour
Founded in Kentucky in 1996, ReRun’s thoroughbred rehoming program is one of the oldest in the nation. Since 2002, their work in New York State has not only matched countless horses with new owners and trainers, but has rehabilitated them, giving them the chance to be placed in second careers. According to a release, “ReRun is now the largest thoroughbred rehab and adoption program in New York and boasts the premier adoption facility in the Northeast.”
A two-hour tour of ReRun Farm in East Greenbush will be held on Saturday, October 27 at 11 AM. Admission for the special event is $20, or $15 for Museum members. Lunch and snacks will be provided, but guests should arrange their own transportation to ReRun (located at 236A Waters Road).
Planning a day at the National Museum of Racing and Hall of Fame? When you attend Saturday’s tour, you’ll receive a complimentary pass to the Museum to use at your convenience.
Tour space is limited, so be sure to RSVP! You can reserve your spot today by calling (518) 584-0400 ext. 118 or emailing kwheaton@racingmuseum.net. Proceeds from the tour will be split between the Museum and Farm. For more information on ReRun and its fantastic programs, visit rerunottb.com.
