You’ve been waiting all year, and it’s finally time for Opening Weekend at Saratoga Race Course! The 2018 meet<\/a> will officially start on July 20, and throughout the weekend, some of the special event highlights will include a Baseball Cap Giveaway<\/a>, the Hat Contest, Taste NY, and of course, plenty of thoroughbred horse racing.<\/p>\n

Friday, July 20<\/h2>\n

Opening Day at Saratoga Race Course<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n

Opening Day at Saratoga will kick off this Friday with the Grade III Schuylerville, the Grade III Lake George, and even more thrilling thoroughbred horse racing.<\/p>\n

Taste NY: Craft Beer<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n

Want to sample a great selection of craft beers that are produced right here in New York State? If so, then stop by the Coca-Cola Saratoga Pavilion from 12:00pm-5:00pm for Taste NY: Craft Beer. Guests will be able to enjoy five samples for $5.<\/p>\n

Woodford Reserve Bourbon Fridays at The Post<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n

After the day’s final race, Race Course guests are invited to enjoy bourbon cocktails and play trivia at The Post Bar. This event will be sponsored by Woodford Reserve, and it will run from 6:00pm-8:00pm.<\/p>\n

Saturday, July 21<\/h2>\n

Saratoga Stakes Races: Diana & Sanford<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n

Place your bets for the GI Diana, the GIII Sanford, and more races at the track!<\/p>\n

Fashion Saturdays<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n

Shop for women’s and men’s apparel and accessories during Saratoga Race Course’s Fashion Saturdays series. Held at the Coca-Cola Saratoga Pavilion, this event will feature a variety of local retailers from 10:30am-5:00pm.<\/p>\n

Woodford Reserve and Jeff Brisbin at The Jim Dandy Bar<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n

On Saturday from 2:00pm-4:00pm, head to The Jim Dandy Bar if you’d like to sample the Woodford Reserve Saratoga Personal Selection. There will also be live music with Jeff Brisbin.<\/p>\n

Ketel One Saturdays at The Post<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n

Sample the new Ketel One Botanicals at The Post Bar from 3:00pm-5:00pm.<\/p>\n

Sunday, July 22<\/h2>\n

Saratoga Stakes Race: Coaching Club American Oaks<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n

Place your bets for the GI Coaching Club American Oaks and more races at the track!<\/p>\n

Race Course Giveaway Day – Saratoga Baseball Cap<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n

The first Giveaway Day of the 2018 racing meet at Saratoga Race Course will be a red and black Saratoga baseball cap! Presented by Saratoga Casino Hotel<\/a>, the free giveaway item will be available with paid admission to the track.<\/p>\n

27th Annual Hat Contest<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n

Don’t miss out on the fun and fashionable Hat Contest at the track this Sunday! Each year, hundreds of contestants wear their most creative head toppers for the opportunity to win prizes. There will be contests for both kids and adults!<\/p>\n

Taste NY: Food & Artisans<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n

Visit the Coca-Cola Saratoga Pavilion for Taste NY: Food & Artisans, which will feature numerous food and artisan vendors displaying their products. This lively market will be open from 10:30am-5:00pm.<\/p>\n
